Consent and Data Handling – PPMA®
By using this website, you consent to PPMA® collecting, using, and disclosing your personal information in line with this privacy statement and applicable laws. This statement may be updated periodically.
Consent Types
We may request your consent—either express or implied—to continue providing products or services.
- Express consent may be verbal or written, such as when you place an order or make an inquiry.
- Implied consent occurs when you voluntarily provide personal information, even if not specifically requested.
For example, if you order a product, your contact details may be shared with delivery or printing services (e.g. Australia Post) to fulfill your request.
Secure Payments
PPMA® uses WooCommerce (by Automattic) for ecommerce. All credit/debit card payments are processed securely via:
- PayPal (Privacy Policy)
- Stripe (Privacy Policy)
PPMA® does not receive or store your card details. Payment information is sent directly to the gateway provider. Our website is protected by a DigiCert TLS 1.3 certificate, ensuring all sensitive data (e.g. logins, payments) is encrypted with 256-bit security. DigiCert Privacy Policy
Analytics
We use Statify, a privacy-friendly tool that does not use cookies or third-party services, to collect anonymized data on site usage and sales. This data is never shared and may inform marketing strategies—only for users who have opted into our email list.
Email Security
Please do not send credit or debit card details via email. Email is not always secure, and PPMA® cannot accept responsibility for any resulting loss. If such details are received accidentally, we will delete the email and notify you. You’ll need to complete payment via PayPal, Stripe, or bank transfer. Payment is still required for services already delivered (e.g. music typesetting or arranging).
Data Protection
We only store essential personal details:
- Title, First Name, Last Name
- Postal and Delivery Addresses
- Phone Number and Email Address
This data is stored securely using up-to-date antivirus and firewall protection, accessible only by PPMA® staff (currently one person). If this changes, the privacy statement will be updated.
Your information is retained to manage sales, inquiries, and service updates (e.g. delivery delays).
Data Retention
- Comments: Retained indefinitely to support automatic approval of follow-ups.
- Registered Users: Personal profile data is stored and can be viewed, edited, or deleted by the user (except usernames). Site administrators can also manage this data.
Your Data Rights
If you have an account or have left comments on this site, you may:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to delete your personal data, unless we’re required to retain it for legal, administrative, or security reasons.
How Your Data Is Used
- Visitor comments may be screened using automated spam detection.
- We securely dispose of personal data when it’s no longer needed, including shredding paper records and permanently deleting electronic files.
Data Collection via Online Platforms

- IP address and server details
- Date, time, and pages visited
- Documents downloaded

- Browser type and version
- Repeat visits
- User preferences
Some features on WooCommerce and PayPal may require cookies or session tracking. Disabling these may limit functionality.
Website Security
We use current security protocols to protect your data. Payment information is encrypted and handled by PayPal or Stripe. While we take reasonable precautions, internet transmission is never 100% secure. Use of our site is at your own risk.

Embedded Content
Some pages may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles) from other websites. This content behaves as if you visited the external site directly. These sites may collect data, use cookies, and track your interaction—especially if you’re logged in to their platform.
Sensitive Information
PPMA® does not request or store sensitive personal information (e.g. race, religion, political views, gender identity, sexual orientation, health data, criminal record). If you voluntarily share religious affiliation and have opted into our marketing list, we may tailor product recommendations accordingly.
Third-Party Providers
We work with reputable third-party services (e.g. WooCommerce, PayPal, Australia Post). If redirected to their websites, please review their privacy policies before sharing personal information.
How We Collect Information
We primarily collect information directly from you—via written orders, inquiries, phone calls, emails, or website interactions.
Third-Party Information
If you provide someone else’s personal information (e.g. placing an order on their behalf), you confirm that they’ve been informed and consented. We’ll only use their data for the intended purpose.
Disclosure to Third Parties and Overseas
To deliver products and services, we may share your information with:
- Contractors, couriers, printers, and business partners (e.g. Australia Post)
- Overseas providers (e.g. WooCommerce, international distributors)
If you follow a link to an external site (e.g. for a product sold by another business), your data is governed by that site’s privacy policy. PPMA® may receive a referral commission or offer discount codes, but we are not responsible for how those businesses handle your data.
By engaging with overseas providers, you acknowledge that:
- They may not be bound by the Australian Privacy Act 1988
- You may not be able to enforce your rights under that Act
We may also disclose your information:
- Where required or authorised by law (e.g. courts, law enforcement)
- To third parties you’ve consented to
Marketing
PPMA® uses opt-in marketing lists. If you’ve asked to receive updates, we may use your name, email, and/or postal address to share relevant products or services. For example, if you’ve indicated a Catholic Church affiliation, we may send information about Catholic liturgical resources.
You can opt out of marketing at any time. Requests are usually processed within 21 days.
Data Storage
Your personal data is stored locally with secure cloud backup. Only PPMA® and its proprietor have access. If you share data with third-party businesses we link to, PPMA® is not responsible for how they store or use it.
Overseas providers may be required to disclose your data under foreign laws. PPMA® is not liable for such disclosures.
Accessing Your Information
You may request a summary of the personal data we hold. We aim to respond within 21 days. If retrieval takes longer (e.g. archived data), we’ll provide an estimated timeframe.
Access may be denied if:
- Required by law
- It poses a threat to health or safety
- The request is frivolous or relates to legal proceedings
If access is denied, we’ll explain why.
Keeping Your Information Up to Date
We take reasonable steps to keep your data accurate. You may request corrections at any time. If you have an account, you can update your details directly.
End of PPMA Comprehensive Privacy Policy.
